Top 6 Fitness Myths Exposed!

As consumers, we are constantly bombarded with
health and fitness information. Unfortunately, most
of the information we receive is coming from
questionable resources. Often times it can be tough
to decipher the true information from the
false... that’s where I can help. As a certified ACSM
health/fitness instructor my job is to be on top of
the correct information and make sure you get the
proper knowledge you need to get started on a
fitness regime that really works!
What I have done is gathered some of the most common
questions I hear from my clients and exposed 6
fitness myths once and for all. Each myth has been
backed up with research performed by the American
Council on Exercise (ACE).

"I have been on the diet for 5 weeks and have lost 14
pounds! My husband, JP has also lost 14 1/2 lbs. I
want to lose another 35 lbs and he wants to lose
another 25. And for the first time ever, I think I
can do it with the pocket diet!!
My biggest problem with other diets is that I love
carbs!! And on all the other diets they are always

According to a survey of Harvard Medical School
facuty, published in the October issue of the
Harvard Health Letter, 55.2% of Harvard physicians
say they used portion control to shed pounds.
